Foto Friday & Carb loading.

Work out:
Wednesday-2.2 mile walk Milo & ME with Mr. P & ME 3 miles on the TM.
Thursday-2.2 mile walk Milo & ME and relaxed the remainder of the night.

Last night I was packing my race bag and getting the house picked up. I have a double header weekend and the house looks like someone from DIY showed up to help but left in a hurry right smack dab in the middle or a re-DO.

Foto Friday is a picture of my kitchen "in the works"
We are in the works of doing a "cosmetic" remodel on the kitchen. Our kitchen looked at one time like grandma and now it's starting to look a little more like me. (wonders of a little can of paint)
So far we have changed the paint color, changed the floor, added a little shelf smaller to the corner where the trash can is to house the thousand dog biscuits and changed the knobs on the kitchen cupboards. Just a little fix and we will do a full gut after the man cave is finished. For now this will do.

walls were turquoise and now soft gray. floors were dirty white now much better. cat use to not sit on the table now he does... it might be due to Milo but I can't seem to figure this cat out. (mr fats will be 10 in 16 days)

So on this even of a Double Header weekend: National Half Marathon and Trials, Tails and Ales 5K (with Milo) I am off to go pick up my bib for the race tomorrow and work on some carb loading.

Dinner tonight will be Cowboy Spagetti

Ingredients:1 lb spaghetti noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 slices smoky bacon (chopped)
1 can of beer
1lb ground beef
1 medium onion
4 garlic cloves (minced)
Ground black pepper (to taste)
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup beer
1 (14 ounce) can fired roasted diced tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
shredded cheddar cheese
green onions (chopped)
Step 1: Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. This can be done while you’re making the sauce. Heat a large deep skillet to medium-high heat. Add olive oil and add bacon. Fry bacon until crisp, remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Step 2: In the same skillet add ground beef and chop up with a spatula or metal spoon while cooking. Cook until the beef is browned. Add onions and garlic, stir into the meat. Season with salt, pepper, hot sauce, beer and Worcestershire sauce. Add the beer to the pan and stir in. Cook for 5-6 minutes and stir in tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Add spaghetti noodles to the meat and sauce and combine. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and green onions.

Hoping for a PR tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes!

Do you have a favorite Carb Load dinner or type of food you like that is Carb Filled?
My favorite is a nice loaf of good bread with tons of butter or some EVOO to dip!

Make it a great day!
Love,
C.
