Milo Kisses=XOXO!?!

Tonight I had a quick 3 miler to run and then Milo and I did a full 1 mile loop around Catonsville here. On our outing we got to see Fin the neighborhood Lab (Milo's buddy when we are out walking) but only did a quick sniff and off we went running. We didn't have much time for a long visit as we are on a mission to train for a Doggie and Mommy full 5K run together in the Spring of 2011. Milo is doing so well with his running commands and runs on point at the heal. While running I do my famous Milo....watch.... watch....watch....mommy and Milo follows just like the perfect running partner he is. It was open roads and a perfect night for running with a big old full moon in sight. Just a running dog and his running partner in the moon light (how perfect is that?!?).

After a quick 1 mile run and Milo's oh so famous tongue to the ground we came home sat down, got some ice cold water and relaxed in front of Grey's. (McDreamy is back hooray!!)

It was love at first sight!

From the moment I saw his picture online I knew it was love and we were DESTIN to be together. He was perfect and in need of a warm wonderful "FUREVER" home. I found him on http://www.nbran.org/  and I was on a mission to find a rescue Brittany so that is where the story begins.
I fell in love with the breed when I was a young girl living in Oregon and my PA had Penny the family hunting Brittany. I knew when it was time to get a dog that a Brittany would be a perfect fit! They are fun loving, good natured, good with children type of personality and not to forget full of energy! Full of energy means a perfect running partner right?!? So the application went in right away and the waiting game started.

Why a blog about Milo and ME? Well I wanted to share with other dog lovers the stories of him and also keep my self accountable for my running and share with some of you knee sock lovers my running events. I am chasing a dream of a healthy happy life and so far it's not been too bad!! Since June 2010 Milo has been part of the family and giving us smiles and laughs threw out. I have some stories that I really don't think people would believe so I am going to share my journey with Milo here.
