Weekend overload & Doggie play date!

This weekend was so exhausting that I am still recovering from the weekend hangover. You know the feeling of being so tired because you have been so busy?!? Well that is me still. I did manage to get a long run in over the weekend and include my virtual 5K that I signed up for too. Hooray to me.

Saturday morning before we got started on errands and yard work Milo and I had breakfast out on the patio and YES that is pizza for breakfast too.

Lilly came over for a nice play date and they "Wrastled" for over an hour!!! Milo and Lilly haven't gotten a good play date in since January when she was here to visit for the week. Poor doggies.

One of the things that had me so exhausted was I finally got my tree planted and the side garden done. Yea that is 2 different colored mulch. We can't figure out why since we purchased all the bags at the same time from Home Depot and they were all marked as the same color. WEIRD!!!

Almost Wordless Wednesday -Treadmill Hog!

Confessions of the treadmill hog!!!!!

So last night I got a good idea to stick Milo on the old treadmill again. One of the key reasons was because he was so crazy and wouldn't settle down and the other reason of course was because he needed some exercise. It was way too hot and humid for him to go outside on a run with me and a walk wasn't going to happen since I needed to get a good run in and Mr. P had to mow the lawn. So what else walk into the treadmill room and see if he is interested.

Earlier around dinner I gave Milo a bone. I have a bunch of these Buffalo bones in the freezer ready for him to cool off with on a hot day and chew. He mainly loves these to lick and chew out the middle marrow but not eat the actual bone part. 

So anyway, I attached my self timer camera that I use for running to the treadmill and got these funny pictures of him candid running!

Training has officially began for my fall fulls!!! I actually started my training on June 5th with a kick off Half Marathon also known as Zooma Annapolis or known as my 4 half's in a row.
Hard core yes!

Tonight I planned to do a track work out with my running group and a trail run tomorrow up the street with them as well but I got invited to run with another pal a little closer then the other side of Columbia so I jumped on the chance to not have to sit in traffic like last week and risk missing half of the work out. I am planning on running 5 tonight with my pal flat and easy talking pace so we can catch up and the trail tomorrow. Crossing my fingers I don't die again on the trail as 2 weeks ago the temps were over 100' and it was HUMID. Why do I punish my self?
This week the training schedule calls for 9 miles and I plan to get out on the shade trail for this one. I am actually excited as this is going to be my first long run with MR. P biking with me. He plans on keeping my company, pushing me and yelling at me. All his plans are great ideas BUT we shall see how I take it. I might run harder or not run at all.

Training so far has only been 3 weeks and have been really positive so far. Let's hope I keep up the momentum and push threw to October.I have 2 fulls to run in 14 days. Yikes what was I thinking???!!!??
 I am going to PUNCH those 2 full marathons in the face!

Hope you had a wonderful Father's Day. Today we took my father in law on a 12 mile bike ride. So much fun and so glad we got the bikes out and ready or more rides this summer.

huhh.....huhh....huhhhhh did someone say WEINER and Foto Friday?

TGIF! TGIF! TGIF!

I must say this week at the beginning was moving as slow as a snail but after we hit hump day it started to speed up maybe even lighting speed. Last night all over the news here in Baltimore/DC area (i assume in other areas as well but so much here in the DC metro area) is the story of Weiner and his Tweeting of pictures of him self half naked or even shirtless.

I must say I am NOT in any means a politics kind of gal and I really don't want to be BUT this guy's name alone makes me giggle like the 2 guys Beavis and Butthead! I hear his name on the radio, see articles online and even see things on TV and it makes me giggle. Almost as bad as a school kid. Poor guy growing up having a last name like that. Almost (really ALMOST) makes me feel sorry for the guy. Maybe that is why he found him self posting nude photo's of him self all over Twitter?!?

Granted I don't know a thing about Twitter or how to Tweet or even what it takes to make your self public or private but I have to say the guy is all over the news. The jokes I heard on DC101 yesterday morning had me laughing my whole 9.5 minute drive into work. I even sat in my car to hear someo of them but I must say the New York Post did a VERY good job and making fun of this guy.  You know you can go onto the NYPost and vote for the best cover. I must say I have 2 favorite covers my self.: Weiner Roast-Grilled over impostor's lewd photo and the best I think could be my number one favorite is Weiner's rise and fall!!
